Connecting the GPS and External magnetomenter.
GPS and External compass connector is located in front of the board where you connect the receiver.
You will need the connector VirtualRobotix provides toghether with the board, otherwise you can create your own using standard servo connectors (2.54 mm.)
You can also connect a second GPS receiver to the port located on the side of the board labelled SER2.
This is a DF13 connector, the one found on all 3DR and VRX GPS’
GPS – internal port
With VRBRAIN 4.5 hardware you can use either the on-board rail as shown in picture or the with connector on the side of the board.
GPS – external port
It’s very important that the configuration of U-Blox- GPS used is right for Arducopter32 firmware.
Without this configuration your board can freeze and don’t work properly 😦 Don’t fly without this patch to gps please !
This is the configuration file that you need to use for setup your GPS if is not a original 3DR GPS:
